HEADSHOT PREPARATION

What to Wear

1. Keep It Simple!

Choose clean, classic pieces over trendy ones. Think polished, not loud. Solid colors always photograph best.

2. Best Colors

Neutrals: black, white, cream, gray, navy

Rich tones: burgundy, forest green, deep blue

Avoid neon colors and overly bright tones (they reflect onto your skin)

3. Avoid Distractions

No busy patterns, large logos, or graphics

Avoid thin stripes or tight patterns (they can distort on camera)

4. Fit Matters More Than Brand

Tailored clothing instantly elevates your look

Avoid anything too baggy or overly tight

5. Layering Adds Depth

Blazers, jackets, or textured fabrics create a more dimensional image

6. Necklines Matter

Choose flattering necklines (V-neck, scoop, or structured collars often work well)

Avoid overly low cut tops unless that aligns with your brand

Grooming & Styling

1. Hair

Style your hair as you normally would, just slightly more polished

Fresh haircuts are great, ideally 3–7 days before your session

2.Makeup (if worn)

Aim for natural and polished

Matte finishes photograph better than heavy shine

Slightly more definition than everyday makeup works best on camera

3.Facial Hair

Cleanly groomed or freshly trimmed

Avoid trying a brand new style right before your session

4.Glasses?
